A Handspun Showcase

This is a mix of the three colours of fleece that Tim

gave me for Christmas.  Some of this is available.

some mixed unknown wool and merino from Alberta.

A woman came into the Hive when I was working last Fall 

and handed me this bag of unknown fleece that she had naturally

dyed years before and it had sat in a plastic bag since it dried and 

matted beyond use, she thought.

spring that was a surprise batt in many layers of colours.

The Letter E Contest!!

So this will be the 4th year of the chosen Letter Contest.  The first two years I had the letter Q and last year I had the Z.  Well 2014 is the Letter E...the most common letter is Scrabble Tiles and therefore the most common letter in my Scrabble Drawers.

To be part of the running you must come up with a word with the Letter E in it somewhere(can be more than one) and tell me what that item would look like, in other words the colours.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

The winning word I will create a wrap with those colours and Scrabble Tiles and a matching Everyday Scarf and the winner who submitted this word will be able to chose any Everyday Scarf of their choice!!

My felt pearls are handmade wet felt by me with the fluff that washes out when I felt my Wraps and Everyday Scarves. Each bead is one-of-a-kind and is a time capsule of the bigger pieces it came from.

This necklace is strung on very strong nylon and has wooden and glass and stone beads dispersed throughout.

Sangria, a Woven Dress

This dress is very new thing for me. It is completely handwoven and post-felted to create a very wearable fabric which moves with the wearers body and has wonderful texture. Please feel free to ask about any special orders and larger sizes will be coming soon.
